About
Sacred Moon brings Residents into the structural relationships between the Hebrew lunar calendar, the twelve months, and the cosmological arrangements presented in *Sefer Yetzirah* and the writings of HaAri. This Circuit study examines Rosh Chodesh, the Molad HaLevanah, and the progression of the lunar cycle through the correspondence of Hebrew letters, Mazalot, planetary assignments, and the ordered divisions of sacred time. Residents engage with the source texts through reading, translation, calendrical examination, and the identification of the specific configurations associated with each Hebrew month. Residents study the relationship between lunar renewal and monthly development, examining the distinction between the beginning of the Hebrew month and its fifteenth day through Rosh Chodesh and Kiddush HaLevanah. Each session develops the ability to recognize the month's governing letter, Mazal, planetary correspondence, and position within the annual cycle, while examining the associated observances, connections with Tzadikim, and candlelighting practices. Sacred Moon establishes a systematic framework for understanding the Hebrew calendar as an ordered structure of celestial correspondences, recurring cycles, and sacred temporal relationships.
