Ego Wears Garments

Ego Wears Garments brings Residents into the examination of human attributes and their spiritual expressions through direct engagement with Sha'arei Kedushah by Chaim Vital. This Circuit study investigates the relationship between the faculties of the soul, the four elemental foundations of character, and the Middot through which an individual's internal condition becomes expressed in thought, speech, and action. Residents engage with the writings through sequential reading, translation, and the clarification of distinctions between the underlying attributes of the soul and their outward manifestations. Residents study the relationships between pride, anger, desire, humility, and other Middot, examining how individual attributes influence the formation of behavior and the development of the spiritual vessel. Each session strengthens the ability to identify the characteristics of the Middot, distinguish inward correction from outward appearance, and examine the relationship between spiritual intention and its expression through human conduct. Ego Wears Garments establishes a disciplined framework for self-examination and the refinement of character, connecting the correction of personal attributes with the broader architecture of the soul.
